Here is what I think you should know about me.
After creating my own soy candle business, teaching piano lessons, cleaning a business office, running a successful farmer's market "bread" business (many of those things were overlapping during the same years) and more than a decade of unsuccessful businesses, my husband and I found something that we were doing anyway and built a successful, thriving business around helping people.
Dave was a FedEx courier for 17 years before sustaining too many injuries and subsequent shoulder surgeries, to continue at that job. Fortunately, our business was big enough to allow Dave to leave FedEx and work full-time from home.
If you are reading this because you wonder if you should do business with us, either as a client or coach on our team, here is what I can tell you about us. We aren't going anywhere.
We joined Team Beachbody back in the days when it was called Million Dollar Body, in late 2006. It's now 2013 and we are picking up speed and leading an amazing team of people and we are taking this across the goal line. We've worked through the bumpiest days of building a successful business with an evolving company and we couldn't be more excited about the future.
So that's a little about us. Our family, our business. If you read my blogs, you'll find out that I dearly love to garden organically, both flowers and veggies; I love to quilt, cook, test recipes, knit, and I'm a pretty mean ping-pong player when I've had a little practice. Dave is good at about anything that involves building or renovating. David Paul, or Davey we call him, our oldest son, is an up and coming app programmer that you will want to keep your eyes on. He and his cousin, Timothy, also homeschooled, have started their own business, Qbobble. Adam, our middle son, is a talented actor, loves to be active, and has started creating some tutorials for one of his favorite games, Minecraft. Luke, the youngest, is pretty much happiest if he's out playing with friends or cousins, volunteering at Foodnet, or helping his grandmas. He wants to go to culinary school, he says. Together, we continue to renovate our 1918 home in our little town in Nebraska, we heat the house with wood that we cut and split ourselves and because of the freedom we now enjoy, we take breaks and travel to see other parts of the world.
Enjoy the blog. It may not have the bells and whistles or look like it belongs to a successful entreprenuer, but our true strength is in leading with authenticity, being real, and helping people discover what they are capable of by never giving up on them.
