Beachbody Success Club cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas was the most amazing trip ever! And though I did well the first few days with the food choices, by the end of the week I was enjoying dessert at every meal! My clothes still fit me though, so all things considered, I think I did pretty well. The fact that our room was all the way at the end of the 10th deck was helpful because I made that trek several times a day which adds up! Then for a few days, I started taking the steps every time instead of the elevators. But it's still time to get back into healthy eating mode. After almost every vacation, I do a Shakeology cleanse. Now, Shakeology is not a "cleanse" product, but you can use Shakeology that way to jumpstart weight-loss, get off a plateau or like we are doing, recover from a vacation of eating out every day!
Today is Day 1. Here's what I ate.
Breakfast – Chocolate Shakeology mixed with water and ice
Snack – 1 cup blueberries Lunch – Chocolate shakeology mixed with water and ice
Snack 2 – Greenberry shakeology mixed with water and 1/4 cup OJ and ice plus 6 green grapes and 2 large strawberries and 10 raw almonds
Supper – 4.5 oz. grilled chicken breast and 2 cups romaine salad with chia seeds. 1 T. vinaigrette dressing.
So far today, I've had 11 eight-ounce glasses of water and 3 cups of green tea. Workout: RevAbs Power Intervals
What I love about this cleanse is by day 3 I feel lighter and am less prone to mindlessly snacking on junk. I also love that I still have energy to work out, although I don't do anything terribly intense like P90X, Insanity or longer Turbo Fire workouts.
How do I feel? Well, in a word, Hungry! But part of that is because I ate more than usual on the trip. And also, in the past times I've done this, day one was always the hardest. Day 2 and 3, I'm usually not hungry at all but the evening protein and salad is always a welcome meal! So far, I haven't gotten a headache either and I think that's because I've been so intentional about making sure I drink more than enough water.
