Warning! You will sweat and work your fanny off. If you are looking for a magic pill or a gimmick to lose fat without lifting a finger, you might as well search elsewhere. But if you really want to get fast, healthy results in a week, and you have the Turbo Fire workout program, I recommend you do the 5 Day Inferno! And it's just like it sounds! Hot! I love this 5 Day Inferno plan to blast the fat because I got great results. Just follow the Inferno guidebook that came with your program. {Note: If you don't have the booklets that came with Turbo Fire, and bought it off ebay or some other auction site,  then most likely you got a pirated copy. Sorry. You get what you pay for.}

Back to the inferno. I'm not crazy about the turkey bacon in the plan. So instead of that, I added slice of turkey or chicken breast or simply added another egg white to my scramble that day. I would also prefer a small link of the Honeysuckle white turkey sausage to turkey bacon, but I haven't gone grocery shopping yet!

Vegans/Vegetarians – Just substitute your lean, healthy protein sources for any meat. I went a month without meat recently and I may redo the Inferno with vegetarian style meals just to see how I feel!

The following is how I did the 5 Day Inferno. I'd love to hear your results and whether you followed the recipes to a "T" or substituted in healthy alternatives. Email me at anne @ fit2free.com if you have questions! I'm here to help.

You don't know about Turbo Fire? It's a blast! And will blast the fat off your whole body! Check it out!

Breakfast:  4 oz. Fage 0% plain yogurt and 3/4 frozen mixed berries, no sugar Snack 1: Chocolate Shakeology, 10 oz. water, 2 tsp. natural peanut butter. Blended with ice! Lunch: 4.25 oz leftover grilled chicken breast, sliced thin. 3 cups romaine, 5 walnuts, 5 dried cherries, pinch parmesan. Dressing for salad, 1 T. raspberry balsamic, 1 tsp Emeril's Horseradish Mustard, 1 tsp olive oil and 1/4 avocado. Snack 2: 1 T. natural peanut butter on 2 celery sticks, with 10 raisins. Dinner: Grilled teriyaki Salmon, 2 pineapple rings, grilled asparagus, 1/3 cup brown rice

I woke up this morning and decided to wait and do my workout until 3 pm, after I had some more fuel so I could put more into the workout. Not always a great idea because I have a hard time getting to my workout the longer the day goes on. I wrote down my meal plan and changed it up from the booklet because I'm pretty sure fresh bok choy worth eating won't be at the store that is closest to us! We keep basics like green beans and flash frozen asparagus in the freezer so we always have something green handy, especially important during the winter months in Nebraska where truly fresh veggies are harder to come by. Canned green beans are just filler, in my opinion. Not much nutrition left in green beans after the canning process, even home canning. Which is why I never bothered to can green beans. Lots of work. Not much nutrition.  Why I got on that track, I don't know! I'm really excited for tomorrow's meal plan which includes a medium baked potato at lunch!

~ Day 3 ~

Workout: Fire 55 EZ, Stretch 10  *I decided on Fire 60. Wow. Quite a bit more intense, even though it's not that much longer.* So it's day 3. Read how I felt at the end of Day 2 HERE.

On to day 3! First of all, I woke up recharged and excited that I had stayed committed to my goals and didn't eat those cookies or the cake that my youngest son brought home from Cub Scouts! Victory! What's the food for today? Again, I'm following the book, and making adaptations as necessary according to what's available.

As soon as I made my way downstairs to the kitchen, I had a cup of hot green tea, then I had 2 glasses of water. On an empty stomach, I find guzzling ice cold water to be somewhat uncomfortable, so I tried room temp water and felt much better. Then, I had my breakfast. Usually, I have Shakeology every morning. Once I realized it had helped me eliminate a long-time problem of stomach bloating, I have it every day. And it's just easiest in the morning. However, I'm also trying to change things up a bit for variety!

Breakfast:  1 cup lowfat cottage cheese, sprinkled with cinnamon and 1 tsp. real maple syrup. (you can have it plain..For breakfast I like it this way;) and 2 rings of canned pineapple Snack 1: Chocolate shakeology, 1 tsp. peanut butter, lots of water and ice. Lunch: Medium baked potato, 1 T. lowfat sour cream, 1/3 oz. provolone, pepper, 1.75 oz. lean turkey breast deli meat, "browned." (We buy the best quality deli turkey we can find so it's not loaded with fillers.)  The Inferno guidebook had turkey bacon in the menu, but as I've said, I'm not a huge turkey bacon fan. So instead, I heated up a heavy skillet, and put in a slice of turkey on the hot skillet and turned it once, just to get a little brown on each side and then sliced it up. If you buy cheaper turkey from the deli, or in packages, you'll find it will release alot of liquid and turn kind of chewy.

Snack 2: Was supposed to be carrots, zucchini and ranch. My braces are kind of making my teeth sore today, so I had another plain Chocolate Shakeology with just 3/4 scoop so it's about 100 cals. Snack 3: 1/2 banana and 9 plain almonds Dinner: Chicken Tacos with Beans and Quinoa

**Note. I must have burned a ton of calories during my workout. I decided to do Fire 60 instead of Fire 55EZ and had forgotten just how much more intense that workout is! So for an evening snack, I did have 90 calories of Fage 0% yogurt, with cinnamon and 5 walnuts. It satisfied me until bedtime.

~ Day 4 ~

On the home stretch now! "The best exercise to really develop defined abs is walking; walking away from the kitchen." Chalene Johnson

Served with mixed greens and tomato salad with balsamic. Snack 2: 10 raw almonds, 1 medium orange Dinner: Grilled chicken breast and spinach, 1/3 cup quinoa Eight 8 oz. glasses water minimum. Results from the 5 days.

  • Down 4 pounds and tight jeans got looser!
  • It took a great deal of focus and determination not to snack on junk. But keeping a journal and checking off what I planned to eat each day, and then telling people (accountability) about it, kept me on track!
